About the role#
This paid summer internship offers students hands-on experience in the Research & Development Metallurgy department. You will work on projects that support our operations in Viburnum, Missouri, while applying your classroom knowledge to real-world business challenges. This is a full-time position for the summer of 2027.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project management, data analysis, and research tasks.
- Collaborate with team members to learn about our departments and operations.
- Conduct field work to better understand our business and operational processes.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies while completing tasks.
- Support your peers in maintaining a safe work environment.
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or deviations.
- Provide feedback to help improve our safety performance.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program for Metallurgy or a related field.
- Completion of at least 24 college credit hours is preferred.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other project-related software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear communication skills to interact with operators and business leaders.
