About the role#
The Doe Run Company is seeking an Exploration Geology Intern for the summer of 2027. This paid internship is based in Viburnum, Missouri, and offers students the chance to gain hands-on experience within our Exploration Geology Department. You will work on projects that support our business operations while applying your academic knowledge to real-world mining tasks.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project management, data analysis, and research to meet project goals.
- Collaborate with team members to learn about our operations and departments.
- Perform field work to better understand our business processes.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Report any unsafe conditions, incidents, or deviations.
- Provide feedback to help improve our safety performance.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited bachelor's degree program relevant to Geology.
- Completion of at least 24 hours of college coursework is preferred.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.2.
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- A valid driver's license.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Ability to apply classroom knowledge to operational needs.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to assist with project planning.
- Communication skills for interacting with operators and business leaders.
