About the role#
As a Technical Support Intern, you will work within the SAS Technical Support Division to help customers resolve issues related to their software. You will gain hands-on experience by taking a problem from the first point of contact through to its resolution. This role involves investigating logs, replicating customer environments, and identifying software bugs. You will work alongside global colleagues to manage technical support processes and timelines.
What you'll do#
- Troubleshoot ongoing problems and answer customer questions regarding SAS software.
- Communicate with customers using ServiceNow tickets, chat, phones, and Microsoft Teams.
- Manage internal and external expectations for support timelines and processes.
- Contribute to a project that directly impacts SAS Technical Support Engineers.
- Use industry-standard software and AI tools to assist in the problem-solving process.
- Collaborate with colleagues and customers on a global scale.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Graduation date must be December 2027 or later.
- Practical experience through school or personal projects, such as help desk work, hands-on labs, or troubleshooting technology.
- Experience working with Windows or Unix operating systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated leadership experience through taking initiative.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

- Location: Cary, North Carolina (Hybrid).
- Term: Summer 2027 (May 18, 2027, to August 6, 2027).
- Requirements: You must be local to Cary HQ, willing to work on-site, and available to start in person on May 18, 2027.
- This is a full-time, paid internship.
