    About the role#

    FamilySearch is seeking three interns to join the Events team. These roles support the RootsTech conference, which is the largest genealogy event in the world. You will work on both online and in-person conference components. One internship lasts for one year, while two positions are six-month appointments. This is a paid, full-time opportunity based in Salt Lake City.

    What you'll do#

    • Design, plan, support, and execute experiences for the RootsTech conference.
    • Deliver service to attendees, speakers, media team members, and exhibitors through email and other communication channels.
    • Write meta-data, descriptions, and SEO content, and create thumbnails for online materials.
    • Manage, organize, and maintain the online content database throughout the workflow.
    • Develop, publish, and manage an event schedule that runs on time.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to refine original content and execute planned assets.
    • Learn and maintain the content management system.
    • Document processes and best practices to assist future team members.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in academic courses or a bachelor’s or post-graduate degree earned within the last year.
    • Membership in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a current temple recommend.
    • Excellent project management and time management skills.
    • Refined writing and communication abilities.
    • Ability to communicate, influence, and lead effectively at all levels of the organization.
    • A composed demeanor when working under pressure during live events.
    • Strong personal drive and a high level of integrity.
    • Preference is given to candidates with multilingual skills or international experience.
    • Preferred majors include Communications, Marketing, Business Administration, or Media Studies.
