About the role#
The Sales & Management Intern position focuses on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining practical retail business experience. You will work closely with the Store Manager to understand how the business operates and what is required to excel in a management role. This is a full-time, paid internship with a rolling term based in Taylor, Michigan.
What you'll do#
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, display setup, and facility maintenance.
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, covering Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Develop core skills in recruiting, merchandising, and leadership.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete required internship assignments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, or Operations Management.
- No prior experience or training is required.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- Flexibility to work a schedule that includes mornings, evenings, and weekends.
