About the role#
Phipps Houses is hiring a Corporate/Development Accounting Intern to support our finance team. This is a full-time, paid internship based on-site in New York. We are looking for students who want to gain hands-on experience in real estate accounting and development finance.
What you'll do#
- Help senior development accountants prepare and submit monthly requisitions to lenders.
- Work on the Yardi Job Cost Cleanup project by adding contracts to the subledger and allocating invoices.
- Update budgets to reflect project revisions.
- Review monthly bank reconciliations for corporate and development entities.
- Record reconciling items to the general ledger.
- Assist with various ad-hoc projects as they arise.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accounting, finance, or business administration program at an accredited college or university.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet project timelines.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Solid technology skills.
- A desire to learn and work effectively with others.
- Familiarity with the Yardi Job Cost module is a plus.
