About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship program running from May 24, 2027, to July 30, 2027. You will work within the Tax Organization to gain experience in Federal and State Income, Sales and Use, and Property Tax issues. Interns work alongside company leaders on assignments meant to improve financial processes and decision-making.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the core functions of the income and indirect tax department.
- Prepare Federal and state income, sales and use, and property tax returns.
- Conduct tax research, summarize your findings, and communicate them to the team.
- Participate in process improvement projects to refine best practices.
- Complete cross-functional projects and administrative tasks.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited college or university as a rising senior or graduate student.
- Anticipated graduation date of December 2027 or May 2028.
- Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Ability to work up to 40 hours per week.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- This role is located on-site at CSX headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida.
- This is a full-time internship.
- Eligible interns may receive complimentary housing for the program duration.
