About the role#
This position supports the General Accounting and Financial Reporting teams at Mitel. You will contribute to year-end audits, quarterly filings, and general accounting operations. This is a paid, part-time coop opportunity.
What you'll do#
- Assist with month and quarter end closing tasks.
- Prepare monthly entries to help consolidate subsidiaries into the main ERP system.
- Interact with both internal and external auditors.
- Help prepare Financial Statement and MD&A tie out support.
- Proof financial statements and other filings.
- Analyze specific accounting transactions.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor of Commerce program with a focus on Accounting or Finance.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A willingness to learn and work within a team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills.
