About the role#
CSX is offering a 10-week technology internship program during the summer of 2027. Interns work within the technology department to deliver solutions for customers, employees, and the community. You will be assigned to a specific team and mentor, and you will also collaborate with a group to complete a project. The program includes hands-on training, field visits, and interactions with company leaders.
What you'll do#
- Contribute to an agile team environment.
- Follow best practices for developing and maintaining secure systems.
- Perform root-cause analysis to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Engage with teams and stakeholders to ensure shared understanding and value delivery.
What you'll need#
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related major.
- Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4-point scale.
- For Operations Research positions, you must be enrolled in a PhD program in Applied Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering.
- Ability to work onsite in Jacksonville, Florida.
- Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
