About the role#
This is a 10-week paid internship for the Summer of 2027. You will work within the Engineering department to manage material flow and analyze production data. The role involves a mix of office work and field studies, including site visits to evaluate production teams. You will report to Jacksonville, Florida, for the duration of the program.
What you'll do#
- Create and update engineering drawings using Microstation.
- Process data to support track renewal and planning decisions.
- Assist with the technology refresh for Track Capital planning software.
- Conduct field studies and evaluate production teams on-site.
- Perform statistical analysis on track welding and team sizing.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program for Civil, Industrial, Computer, or Mechanical Engineering.
- A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, is required.
- Experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD or Microstation is helpful.
- Knowledge of SQL or Python is a plus.
Location & details#
- This position is based in Jacksonville, Florida.
- This is a full-time, on-site role.
- You may be required to travel up to 10% of the time.
- Work may require being outdoors in various weather conditions and wearing required personal protective equipment. You must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as part of a 24/7 operation.
