About the role#
This is a part-time, paid internship within the Internal Audit Department. You will work across two tracks: Information Technology (IT) Audit and Internal Controls (SOX). You will gain hands-on experience in risk assessment, audit testing, and professional communication while working with audit professionals and business partners. The program offers training, mentorship, and exposure to senior leadership.
What you'll do#
- Support Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) 404 IT general control testing.
- Perform audit procedures, review and analyze evidence, and assess control design.
- Document procedures performed, evidence reviewed, and conclusions.
- Coordinate and schedule walkthrough meetings with process and control owners.
- Assist with other IT audits and data analytics projects.
What you'll need#
- Must be a rising senior or graduate student enrolled in an accredited college or university.
- Degree pursuit in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Cumulative minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Previous work or internship experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/M365 applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

- Location: Jacksonville, Florida (on-site at CSX Headquarters).
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Schedule: Part-time, minimum 25 hours per week.
