About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern works closely with store management to learn the retail business and develop leadership skills. You will focus on creating an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining hands-on experience in store operations and management. This is a full-time, on-site role with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Complete key sections of the Buckle Management Manual, including Teammate Orientation, Beginning Leadership, and Recruiting, Interviewing, and Hiring.
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Perform sales and operational tasks such as cashiering, merchandise display, and facility cleaning.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to the Area and District Managers.
- Develop skills in recruiting, merchandising, and team leadership.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at a four-year college or university in a relevant field like Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or Human Resources.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
