About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern will work closely with the Store Manager to develop an understanding of retail business operations and management. This role focuses on delivering an enjoyable shopping experience for guests while gaining hands-on experience in sales, merchandising, and store operations. This position is a full-time, on-site internship.
What you'll do#
- Greet guests with a friendly attitude and provide legendary service.
- Answer questions regarding the store and its merchandise.
- Achieve personal sales-per-hour and sales goals set by store management.
- Place special orders or call other stores to find desired merchandise.
- Perform operational tasks including cashiering, processing freight, and maintaining store cleanliness.
- Complete teammate orientation and provide weekly progress updates to management.
- Manage a specific product category by setting goals, educating teammates, and tracking results.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete required sections of the management manual.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study, such as Business Administration, Marketing, or Psychology.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
- A desire for a long-term commitment with the company.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs.
