About the role#
The Sales and Management Intern supports the store mission by creating a positive shopping experience for guests. You will work closely with the Store Manager to learn how the retail business functions and gain experience in management. This is a rolling, full-time, paid internship based on-site in Florence, Kentucky.
What you'll do#
- Manage a specific product category by setting sales goals, educating the team, and tracking results.
- Lead and motivate the team by using performance trackers for departments like denim, accessories, or footwear.
- Perform sales, merchandising, and operational tasks including cashiering, register procedures, and organizing freight.
- Complete required sections of the management manual, including Teammate Orientation.
- Provide weekly reports and progress updates to management.
- Participate in monthly conference calls and complete assigned special projects.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Business Administration, Marketing, Operations Management, or Communications.
- Interest in a long-term commitment with the company.
- Physical ability to lift and maneuver 50 lbs throughout the store and backroom.
- No prior experience or training is necessary.
