About the role#
As a Field Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in field operations, project coordination, and construction management. You will work directly on active construction projects while collaborating with project teams and subcontractors. This position is based in Sacramento, California, and operates on a rolling basis.
What you'll do#
- Support active construction projects by coordinating project information and tracking field progress.
- Work closely with project teams and subcontractors to ensure project success.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Coordinate work to support project schedules.
- Verify that construction activities align with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and codes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Preferred majors include Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong communication skills and comfortability making both cold and warm phone calls to build relationships.
- Goal-oriented mindset with evidence of high academic achievement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Elected leadership experience is preferred.
- Authorization to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
