About the role#
As a Field Engineer Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in field operations, project coordination, and construction management. You will work alongside project teams and subcontractors to support active construction projects. This role involves direct participation in quality control and the day-to-day execution of construction tasks.
What you'll do#
- Coordinate project information and track field progress.
- Collaborate with project teams and subcontractors to support schedules.
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with safety protocols and regulations.
- Verify that construction activities align with contract documents, drawings, specifications, and codes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a Junior or Senior in an undergraduate program at an accredited college or university.
- Preferred majors include Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong communication skills, including comfort with cold and warm phone calls to build relationships.
- Ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
- Goal-oriented mindset with a desire to work in the construction industry.
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- High academic achievement, elected leadership experience, and prior work experience are preferred.
