About the role#
The Student Involvement Coordinator organizes, supervises, and evaluates programs that meet the social and holistic needs of students. This role involves managing participation records, handling financial documentation for activities, and ensuring student organizations follow university and legal policies. You will work to increase student engagement and help manage risk through training and orientation.
What you'll do#
- Plan and deliver educational seminars, workshops, and activities for student organizations, housing, and academic classes.
- Advise and train an inclusive group of peer mentors.
- Develop marketing plans and publicity through various media channels.
- Coordinate efforts to secure external or grant funding for projects.
- Maintain accurate records for sponsored programs and activities.
What you'll need#
- A Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Three years of experience in event coordination.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
- Preferred majors include Business Administration, Psychology, Communications, Human Resources, Sociology, or Political Science.
