About the role#
Residential Student Technicians support the daily operations of the Office of Housing & Residence Life. You will help maintain a welcoming environment for residents, guests, and staff. Assignments vary by department need and include roles in housing operations, event support, and administrative assistance.
What you'll do#
- Provide customer service to residents, guests, faculty, and visitors.
- Handle front desk operations, office coverage, and general administrative tasks.
- Answer phones, emails, and housing inquiries.
- Assist with residence hall opening, closing, move-in, and move-out processes.
- Report maintenance, safety, or operational concerns to professional staff.
- Help with event logistics, including room set-up and tear-down.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with university policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a student at Prairie View A&M University.
- Eligibility for Federal Work-Study.
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Dependability and professional judgment.
