About the role#
This internship provides practical exposure to geotechnical, environmental, materials, and facilities engineering. You will work alongside professionals on real client projects and learn how technical decisions impact the community. The program includes mentorship, professional development, and participation in a nationwide cohort where you can share your experiences with executive leadership.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians on field and laboratory assignments.
- Support active projects to see how technical work translates to client outcomes.
- Build skills in sampling, testing, data analysis, and report development.
- Learn safe field and laboratory practices, ASTM, DOT, and COE testing standards, and project management fundamentals.
- Develop your consulting skills through quality management systems and client communication.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Graphic Design, or other related technical or business fields.
- A genuine interest in consulting and fieldwork.
- Demonstrated curiosity and a strong ability to work within a team.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.
