About the role#
This internship provides practical exposure to geotechnical, environmental, materials, and facilities engineering. You will work alongside professionals to turn classroom learning into real-world experience, contributing to active client projects while developing core consulting skills.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with experienced engineers and technicians on field and laboratory assignments.
- Support active project work and observe how technical decisions translate to client and community outcomes.
- Build core skills in sampling, testing, data analysis, and report development.
- Receive mentorship from professionals committed to your growth.
- Participate in a nationwide internship cohort program and share your experience with executive leadership.
- Learn safe field and laboratory practices, ASTM, DOT, and COE testing standards, project management fundamentals, and quality management systems.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biology, or other related technical or business fields.
- A strong interest in consulting and fieldwork.
- Demonstrated curiosity, teamwork, and alignment with Terracon’s core values.
- A valid driver’s license with an acceptable violation history may be required.
