About the role#
As a Radiology Extern, you will assist technologists and healthcare staff in providing patient care and support services. This is a temporary, per diem position that involves rotating shifts. You will act as a communication link between nursing staff and various departments to ensure patients receive appropriate care during transit and procedures.
What you'll do#
- Clean and set up imaging equipment and exam rooms.
- Organize work assignments and prepare imaging rooms for daily tasks.
- Verify patient identity and explain procedures.
- Position patients on equipment for exams.
- Transport patients between beds, wheelchairs, and various facility departments.
- Monitor patient needs during transit, including checking for IV pumps or oxygen tanks.
- Maintain the supply room and ensure patient comfort throughout their visit.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current enrollment in or recent completion of a Radiology Program.
- Valid BLS/CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

- This role is based in West Palm Beach, Florida.
- The position is on-site and paid.
- This is a part-time, per diem role with a rolling term.
