About the role#
The Clinical Engineering Intern position provides on the job training through shadowing experienced clinical, biomedical, lab, and radiology engineers. You will work under the supervision of management to learn the daily operations of an engineer within a hospital environment.
What you'll do#
- Respond to service calls and learn how to manage and balance your workload.
- Document repairs and preventive maintenance work orders.
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures and inventory validation.
- Learn to calibrate equipment and apply troubleshooting techniques.
- Train on electrical safety and general equipment repair.
- Coordinate with vendors and work alongside technicians in a real-time service environment.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an associate degree, technical degree, or an equivalent biomedical certification program.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experience with biomedical equipment in a clinical engineering environment is preferred.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment screening, including a limited background check and a drug screen.
- A valid driver's license, as the role may require travel using a personal vehicle.

- Compensation: $16 to $18 per hour.
- Status: Paid, full-time, rolling term.
