About the role#
As a Nurse Extern in Med Surg, you will provide essential assistance and comfort to patients. You will work alongside clinical staff to help deliver basic and intermediate nursing care. This role requires you to complete established competencies within your introductory period.
What you'll do#
- Assist in providing basic and intermediate nursing care to assigned patients.
- Provide essential support and comfort to patients during their care.
- Complete all required clinical competencies within the introductory period.
- Work at least eight hours per pay period, with shifts available in 4, 8, 10, or 12 hour increments.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited professional nursing (RN) program.
- You must be entering your final clinical practicum rotation.
- Successful completion of a basic clinical skills lab.
- Active healthcare provider Basic Life Support (ARC or AHA) upon hire.

- Location: San Antonio, Texas.
- This is an on-site, paid, full-time position.
