About the role#
Syska Hennessy Group is hiring a Fire/Life Safety Summer Intern for our New York office. This is a paid, full-time position for the summer of 2027. You will work on-site with our engineering teams to support building system designs and participate in our intern education program.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with design documentation and calculations.
- Size building systems.
- Create AutoCAD and Revit drawings based on field surveys and system assessments.
- Join field investigations and site visits to observe project progress.
- Attend lunch-and-learn sessions as part of the intern education program.
What you'll need#
- You are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis in Sustainability.
- You have completed at least your second year of university.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office Suite and design or calculation software.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with MEP AutoCAD, Revit, or IES-VE modeling is a plus.
