About the role#
Syska Hennessy Group is hiring an ICT Summer Intern for the summer of 2027. This is a paid, full-time, on-site internship based in Chicago. You will work alongside our engineering teams to support design projects and participate in our intern education program.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers with the preparation of design documentation.
- Create AutoCAD and Revit drawings for electrical systems.
- Help with design calculations and the sizing of building electrical systems.
- Participate in field investigations and visit construction sites to observe project progress.
- Attend lunch and learn sessions as part of the intern education program.
What you'll need#
- You must be currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university.
- You must be at least in your second year of studies.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite is required.
- Basic knowledge of design and calculation software is helpful.
- Previous engineering internship or co-op experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with the latest versions of MEP AutoCAD and Revit is a plus.

- Compensation: $23 to $27 per hour, depending on experience and skills.
