Technology Intern - Fall 2026

About the role#

Synchrony is seeking Technology interns for the Fall 2026 term to support internal initiatives in artificial intelligence and data science. This role focuses on creating long-term value for customers through emerging technology projects. Interns will collaborate with the Innovation Station and subject matter experts to deliver meaningful outcomes for business stakeholders.

What you'll do#

• Conduct market and technology research to inform project development.
• Perform big data analytics and software development tasks.
• Create proofs-of-concept and data visualizations.
• Deliver completed projects to business stakeholders.
• Engage with internal innovation teams and subject matter experts.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment as a full-time student at Syracuse University with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Ability to commit 10 to 20 hours per week during the academic semester.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Familiarity with Agile project management methods and practices.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Relevant academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Cybersecurity.

Location & details#

• Term: Fall 2026.
• Modality: Remote.
• Compensation: $24.00 - $33.50 per hour, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.
• Requirements: Must be 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent. Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and fingerprinting is required. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required; sponsorship is not available for this role.
