About the role#
The Business Leadership Program (BLP) Internship is a 10-week paid summer assignment. You will work on projects that contribute to our business goals while gaining exposure to the strategy and operations of the financial services industry. Interns participate in an orientation, networking sessions with company leaders, and receive ongoing support from mentors.
What you'll do#
- Learn the process of fairly and responsibly extending credit, including underwriting, portfolio management, and fraud mitigation.
- Help clients balance growth with loss mitigation.
- Use advanced analytics to develop and implement strategies that drive business decisions.
- Understand the full account credit lifecycle and how credit performance impacts the Profit and Loss statement.
- Work with sophisticated probabilistic models and maintain relationships with Credit Bureaus and scoring vendors.
- Collaborate with client teams to gain hands-on experience.
What you'll need#
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Mathematics, or Economics.
- A minimum overall 3.0 GPA.
- Analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information.
- Ability to work independently and within collaborative teams.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Familiarity with SAS, Python, Machine Learning, and financial statements is preferred.
Location & details#
- Location: Stamford Hub, Connecticut.
- Term: Summer 2026 (10 consecutive weeks, June through August).
- Commitment: Minimum 40 hours per week.
- Modality: On-site.
