About the role#
This internship is part of the Digital Technology Center at the Synchrony Stamford campus. You will join a team focused on technical and strategic projects within the financial services industry. This role is a paid, summer-long contract opportunity. We are seeking students pursuing degrees in Computer Science or Data Science who are interested in areas such as software engineering, user experience design, machine learning, and data analysis.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with team members to create software skills and actions.
- Participate in Agile scrums with cross-functional teams.
- Attend Agile sprints, including planning, daily standups, backlog grooming sessions, and reviews.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- US work authorization at the time of application (no sponsorship provided).
- Ability to pass a drug test, background investigation, and fingerprinting process.
- Ability to satisfy Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
Location & details#
- Location: Stamford, Connecticut.
- Modality: On-site at the Stamford campus.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, 5 to 20 hours per week. Flexibility is required as hours may vary based on project needs.
- Term: Summer 2027.
