About the role#
This position is part of the Analytics and Automation Centre of Excellence. You will report to the Director and focus on advancing network services through automation, data analytics, and tooling. The role involves designing and delivering solutions that improve the efficiency of the network ecosystem.
What you'll do#
- Develop and deploy automation tools, data extraction scripts, visualizations, and machine learning models.
- Assist in advancing technologies for DevOps, APIs, and digital assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and increase operational efficiency.
- Analyze data to create reports that support business decision making.
- Mentor technicians to help them improve their problem-solving skills.
- Develop problem strategies and manage evaluation feedback loops.
- Prepare and present status reports on projects and network statistics.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a degree program for Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent field.
- A Bachelor of Science degree is an advantage.
- Experience in network technology, data extraction, and visualization.
- Practical coding experience in Python, R, C++, Java, or Perl.
- Knowledge of network programmability and integration, including YANG, YAML, XML, JSON, NETCONF, and RESTCONF.
- Ability to create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with various teams.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term.
- The role is based in North York or Waterloo, Ontario.
- We operate on a hybrid work model.
