About the role#
As an engineer on Team Pickle, you will help build an internal onboarding tool from the ground up. You will collaborate with a diverse team to define product requirements, design database schemas, and develop high-level system architecture. This role involves full-stack development, including infrastructure setup, feature coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring. You will receive technical guidance and mentorship from senior team members throughout your internship.
What you'll do#
- Work as part of a team throughout the software development life cycle.
- Develop code to meet story acceptance criteria.
- Conduct design and code reviews to maintain high quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies, design, and brainstorming sessions.
- Collaborate with Product and Analyst stakeholders to implement new applications.
- Create technical documentation for analysis, test results, and releases.
- Build AWS cloud infrastructure and learn new tools on the job.
- Adhere to continuous improvement practices.
What you'll need#
- You will obtain a Bachelor’s degree or higher from December 2026 or later.
- Familiarity with application development using JavaScript and any backend programming language.
- Good communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- A solid understanding of testing fundamentals.
- Experience working in a team setting.
- Preferred experience includes Java, AWS Lambda, S3, Git, Jenkins CI/CD, microservices, API design, React, and AI tools like Claude or OpenSpec.

- Work Modality: Hybrid (3 days in the office per week).
