About the role#
As an intern on Team Sprout, you will help transform the new hire onboarding experience by automating administrative setup processes. You will work across the full technology stack, including Go, NodeJS, and AWS, to build infrastructure and develop new features. You will collaborate with a diverse group of engineers to design solutions, conduct testing, and manage deployments. This role involves monitoring systems and addressing security or vulnerability fixes.
What you'll do#
- Work within a team throughout the software development life cycle.
- Develop code that meets story acceptance criteria.
- Conduct design and code reviews to maintain high quality.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and team brainstorming sessions.
- Collaborate with Product and Analyst stakeholders to implement new applications.
- Create technical documentation for analysis, test results, and releases.
- Learn and build AWS cloud infrastructure on the job.
- Support team culture and participate in team activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher, with an expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Familiarity with application development using JavaScript and any backend programming language.
- Experience with backend technologies like GoLang, AWS Lambda, and S3.
- Experience with version control, specifically Git.
- Experience with Jenkins CI/CD, microservices, and API design or integration.
- Understanding of testing fundamentals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and writing skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting.

- Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
- Term: Winter 2027.
- Modality: Hybrid (3 days in office per week).
- Employment: Full time, paid internship.
- Hourly wage: $33.33 to $48.72.
