About the role#
This is a full-time student position for the Winter 2027 term, running from January to April. You will join the Group Life and Disability team to help manage disability claims. This role is open to students with a graduation date of April 2027 or later.
What you'll do#
- Support Disability Case Managers in the management and resolution of claims.
- Conduct telephone interviews to gather information regarding absences and recovery needs.
- Communicate with clients through verbal and written channels to understand their situations.
- Identify and assess medical and non-medical factors that influence disability and recovery.
- Collaborate on the development and maintenance of outcome-focused case management plans.
What you'll need#
- Bilingualism in French and English, both oral and written.
- Current enrollment as a student with a graduation date of April 2027 or later.
- A strong interest in health care and the well-being of Canadians.
- A detail-oriented approach with thoroughness in gathering information.
- Proactive and innovative mindset.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy.
- Ability to work collaboratively and resourcefully within a team.
- Resilience when handling stressful situations.
