About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position requiring approximately 40 hours per week. As an SEO Intern, you will support the marketing department by managing search engine optimization projects for K12-powered schools. Your work focuses on improving search visibility to support enrollment goals through website optimization, content creation, and technical analysis.
What you'll do#
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to improve search rankings.
- Perform on-page SEO tasks, including meta tags, headers, and internal linking.
- Execute technical SEO audits to identify and document website performance issues.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using tools such as Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
- Create SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, landing pages, and website copy.
- Assist in developing content calendars and evaluating competitor SEO strategies.
- Support link-building initiatives and local SEO efforts for school locations.
- Track metrics and prepare monthly performance reports for the marketing team.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, or a relevant field.
- A basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Working knowledge of content management systems, specifically WordPress.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to create optimized content.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- High level of accountability and attention to detail.
- Ability to clear a required background check.
Location & details#
- This position is fully remote and open to residents of all 50 United States and D.C.
- The anticipated pay is $20.00 per hour.
- This is a rolling, full-time internship.
