About the role#
As an SEO Intern at Stride, you will support the digital marketing efforts for K12-powered schools. You will work within the Marketing department to assist with search engine optimization projects, including website optimization, keyword research, and technical SEO analysis. This role is designed to provide practical experience in both technical and on-page SEO, with mentorship from experienced professionals and opportunities to build a portfolio of measurable project outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Conduct keyword research and analysis to identify opportunities for improved search rankings across school websites.
- Assist with on-page SEO optimization, including meta tags, headers, internal linking, and content optimization.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and other SEO tools.
- Create SEO-optimized content such as blog posts, landing pages, and website copy following industry best practices.
- Perform technical SEO audits to identify and document website issues affecting performance.
- Track SEO metrics and assist in preparing monthly performance reports for the team.
- Support link-building initiatives and collaborate with school staff to highlight student success stories for search visibility.
- Assist with local SEO optimization and provide recommendations for website structure and user experience improvements.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A basic understanding of search engine optimization principles and best practices.
- Working knowledge of content management systems, specifically WordPress.
- Strong written communication skills with the ability to create SEO-optimized content.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and within a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
Location & details#
- This is a part-time, remote position based in the United States.
- The role requires approximately 20 hours of work per week.
- This is a paid internship.
