About the role#
As a Real Estate Intern at Stout, you will assist with the delivery of valuation and advisory solutions. You will work on projects involving estate and gift tax appraisal, financial reporting, litigation support, and due diligence. This role provides exposure to clients and technical work across the real estate sector.
What you'll do#
- Conduct on-site property inspections and evaluations to assess financial and physical characteristics.
- Perform research at the market, industry, and property levels to support valuation assumptions.
- Prepare due diligence questions and review supporting documentation.
- Gather real estate data and insights by engaging with key market participants.
- Participate in client meetings, management discussions, and strategic planning sessions.
- Analyze complex financial statements and interpret data to provide recommendations.
- Select appropriate valuation methodologies and key assumptions.
- Create deliverables including presentations, analysis packets, and written narratives.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0, though 3.5 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for client site inspections.
- Familiarity with Argus is preferred.
- Previous real estate internship or industry experience is preferred.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
