About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in collegiate athletics operations. You will work alongside full-time staff to support the planning and execution of game day tailgates, hospitality experiences, and private events. This role focuses on professional development and career exploration within a Division I athletic department. You will receive mentorship and training throughout the term.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and set up game day tailgate areas, including organizing tables, signage, décor, and catering spaces.
- Manage guest check-in, arrival processes, and wayfinding.
- Provide customer service by answering guest questions.
- Monitor event spaces to ensure they remain clean and guest-ready.
- Support food and beverage operations and assist with vendor and catering coordination.
- Help with the breakdown, cleanup, and inventory of event materials.
- Participate in event timelines and on-site problem solving for private and special events.
What you'll need#
- You must be at least 18 years old and a current college student.
- Strong interest in hospitality, sport management, business, marketing, communications, or tourism.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment.
- Flexibility to participate in events during evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A positive attitude and the ability to show initiative on supervised projects.

- Location: West Point, New York.
- Term: Fall 2026 (September through December).
- Work Modality: On-site.
