About the role#
Interns in the Business Valuation group at Stout perform engagements for purposes such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate tax matters, estate planning, and litigation. You will work directly with Stout professionals to gain client exposure and build technical skills. This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Conduct in-depth research on industries, markets, and companies to support valuation conclusions.
- Analyze and interpret complex financial statements to identify trends and risks.
- Prepare due diligence questions and evaluate supporting documentation.
- Participate in client or management meetings to provide input on valuation methodologies.
- Develop and analyze detailed financial models, including Discounted Cash Flow and Guideline Public Company analyses.
- Create comprehensive deliverables, including presentations and written narratives for senior professionals and clients.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0, though 3.5 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Strong analytical, technical, and communication skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
- Previous internship or extracurricular experience is preferred.
