About the role#
Stout is hiring a Real Estate Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based in Houston, Texas. You will support our valuation and advisory practice by providing solutions for estate and gift tax appraisal, financial reporting, litigation, and due diligence. Interns work directly with our professionals to gain client exposure and build technical skills.
What you'll do#
- Conduct on-site property inspections and evaluate physical and financial characteristics.
- Perform research at the market, industry, and property levels.
- Prepare due diligence questions and review supporting documentation.
- Gather data and insights by engaging with market participants.
- Participate in client meetings, management discussions, and strategic planning.
- Analyze complex financial statements to generate recommendations.
- Select valuation methodologies and key assumptions.
- Create presentations, analysis packets, and written narratives for clients.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- A minimum cumulative G.P.A. of 3.0, though 3.5 or higher is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for site inspections.
- Eligibility to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
- Familiarity with Argus and previous real estate internship experience are preferred.
