About the role#
This is a full-time co-op student position within our Building’s Engineering group in Waterloo. You will work under the guidance of experienced project managers, supporting projects across the industrial, education, transit, healthcare, and civic sectors. We are looking for someone who can handle a variety of tasks, from project proposals and setups to executing project plans.
What you'll do#
- Provide general support to project managers and team members throughout the project life-cycle.
- Use your knowledge of project management and engineering concepts.
- Prepare reports for projects and new opportunities.
- Conduct due diligence to provide background information to the team.
- Interpret sketches, drawings, codes, and building programs.
- Coordinate inputs to respond to construction shop drawings and RFI’s.
- Assist with field reviews and site visits.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a project management program at a college or university.
- Strong motivation and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to stay organized, prioritize tasks, and remain flexible with assignments.
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project is an asset.
- Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, and Revit is considered an asset.
