Co-op, Water Resources (Fall 2025)

About the role#

This Co-op position for Fall 2025 offers the opportunity to work within the Water Resources group in Blue Ash, Ohio. You will contribute to projects ranging from flood protection and risk reduction to stream restoration and land development. You will work on a team to support project lifecycles from initial planning and design through to construction and implementation. While primarily focused on water resources, there may be opportunities to assist with Geotechnical, Transportation, and Environmental Services projects.

What you'll do#

• Process and manage data using GIS to support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
• Create spreadsheets, graphs, and figures for design reports.
• Prepare design and construction plans, specifications, quantity take-offs, and construction estimates.
• Build surface models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Assist with field work, including data collection, site inspections, and observations.
• Support project managers with tasks to track and advance project progress.

What you'll need#

• Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related technical degree program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• A valid driver's license.
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and follow direction.
• Desired: Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS Pro, and H&H software applications such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, or SWMM.
