About the role#
This Fall 2025 co-op position is based in the Blue Ash, Ohio office. You will join the Water Resources group to gain exposure to projects ranging from planning and design through construction and implementation. Project areas include flood protection, risk reduction, dams, river diversions, land development, and stream restoration. While focused on water resources, you may have opportunities to assist with other disciplines such as geotechnical, transportation, and environmental services.
What you'll do#
- Process and manage data using GIS to support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling.
- Create spreadsheets, graphs, and figures for design reports.
- Prepare design and construction plans, specifications, quantity take-offs, and construction estimates.
- Build surface models using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Assist with field work, including data collection, site inspections, and observations.
- Support project managers with tasks to track and advance project progress.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related technical degree program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational abilities, and a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and follow direction.
- Desired: Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS Pro.
- Desired: Exposure to H&H software applications such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM.
- Previous internship or co-op experience is considered a plus.
