About the role#
Stantec is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern or Co-op student for the transportation team in Albany, New York. This position is available for the Winter and Summer 2027 terms. You will work alongside experienced practitioners to support civil and structural engineering projects, including highway, bridge, and traffic planning initiatives.
What you'll do#
- Assist engineers in preparing contract documents and technical reports.
- Perform computer aided design and drafting tasks.
- Conduct checks on drawings and engineering calculations.
- Complete quantity take-offs and perform simple calculations.
- Conduct field inspections, which may include exposure to inclement weather.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited Bachelors or Masters engineering program.
- Good academic standing.
- Exposure to CAD design programs.
