About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to work within our Actuarial and Insurance Solutions practice. You will join a multi-disciplinary team that engages with clients across the Life, Property and Casualty, and Pension industries. You will work alongside colleagues in our global actuarial network to solve complex client concerns and support organizations of all sizes in structuring business transactions.
What you'll do#
- Build solutions to advance the actuarial field and develop deep knowledge of technical concepts.
- Perform technical actuarial work, including enterprise risk management, actuarial process re-engineering, and regulatory advisory.
- Assist with pension de-risking, predictive analytics, and M&A due diligence.
- Collaborate with teams and clients to develop solutions.
- Continue your professional development to expand your career path.
- Support organizations to help them perform better and adapt to future needs.
What you'll need#
- Currently working towards a post-secondary degree or diploma in actuarial sciences, mathematics, risk management, or a related field.
- Significant progress towards ASA designation is preferred, specifically having passed at least two SOA or CAS actuarial exams.
- Aptitude to synthesize quantitative analysis and relay information effectively.
- Research, financial analysis, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated capabilities in teamwork, leadership, and communication.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, and AXIS software.
- Ability to build rapport and deliver quality work under time constraints.
- Keen interest in insurance industry developments and a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
