About the role#
As an intern in the Audit & Assurance practice, you will gain hands-on experience working with clients across diverse industries. You will assist organizations in navigating business risks, including financial, operational, and regulatory challenges. This role involves working on multiple projects to help clients improve performance and drive efficiency. You will join a team that uses professional judgment and technology to deliver audit and assurance insights.
What you'll do#
- Create internal control documentation, including narratives, process flows, data flows, and work papers.
- Develop, plan, and perform specialized audit services related to business process controls.
- Drive client engagements by planning audit scope and approach, preparing audit programs, and determining procedures.
- Perform internal audit assurance activities covering financial, operational, compliance, and strategic risk areas.
- Execute SOX-related activities and Engagement Quality Reviews.
- Consult with engagement leadership and clients regarding strategic plans and business matters.
- Anticipate emerging risks for clients while exercising professional skepticism.
What you'll need#
- Current pursuit of a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. Other majors are considered if you have a concentration in accounting.
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Ability to reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office.
- Minimum age of 18 at the time of employment.
- Preferred qualifications include a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or above, relevant work experience, and demonstrated leadership roles in campus or community activities.
- Meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA licensure is preferred.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid internship for Summer 2027.
- Work modality is hybrid, with an expectation to co-locate at the office or client sites on average 3 times per week.
- Travel may be required up to 50% depending on client and project needs.
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
- Available office locations include Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Costa Mesa, Dallas, Detroit, Houston, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Tempe.
