About the role#
The Outsourced Tax Department Solutions Intern supports the team with indirect tax operations, data preparation, and process documentation. This role offers hands-on experience with outsourced tax services while you develop skills in business processes and technology. You will work under the guidance of experienced team members to ensure the timely delivery of services.
What you'll do#
- Gather, organize, and validate data for indirect tax processes and reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and other routine operational tasks.
- Document client processes, procedures, and workflow requirements.
- Maintain organized files, records, and audit-ready documentation.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and support project activities.
- Conduct research and data analysis as assigned.
- Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines.
- Attend training sessions to build knowledge of indirect tax operations and DMA methodologies.
- Handle administrative and other ad hoc assignments.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Communications, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or Technical Writing.
- Previous internship, academic project work, or coursework related to business operations, tax, analytics, or technology is preferred.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
