About the role#
Stantec is hiring a Structural Engineering Co-op Student for a Winter 2027 term. This is an on-site, full-time position based in Edmonton, Alberta. You will work alongside engineers and technologists to support project delivery and gain practical experience in the field.
What you'll do#
- Provide general support to the engineering and technology teams.
- Generate preliminary calculations and project reports.
- Review drawings and complete audits on project design elements.
- Perform due diligence and research to support new project development.
- Support field construction and commissioning teams by monitoring and reporting on construction activities.
- Assist with startup and commissioning tasks.
- Manage onsite documentation, including deficiency reviews, asset management, and quality assurance.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature as assigned.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 3rd or 4th year engineering student.
- Highly motivated mindset with a willingness to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to sustainable corporation initiatives.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
