About the role#
The Alma Mater Society is looking for first-year students to join our team as interns. You will be matched with one of our many departments based on your skills, interests, and availability. We offer opportunities across areas including the Marketing Office, The Queen's Journal, the Food Bank, and various commissions like Environmental Sustainability or Social Issues. This role provides exposure to office environments and mentorship from upper-year students.
What you'll do#
- Support ongoing projects and team initiatives.
- Conduct research and present your findings.
- Assist with daily administrative or operational tasks.
- Participate in team meetings and share your ideas.
- Learn and apply new tools, platforms, or methodologies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a first-year student at Queen's University.
- Ability to meet general AMS eligibility requirements.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- An eagerness to learn and contribute to the team.
- Ability to manage your time effectively and meet deadlines.
- No prior experience with the AMS is required.

- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid, full-time position with a rolling term.
