About the role#
Walkhome is a safety service dedicated to increasing accessibility and safety for the Queen's campus and the surrounding Kingston community. As Service Staff, you provide anonymous, confidential, and discreet walks to students, faculty, and community members. You act as an ambassador for the service and the Alma Mater Society while working in teams of two to ensure patrons reach their destinations safely.
What you'll do#
- Provide safe and confidential walking services in teams of two.
- Attend all training sessions and participate in both in-person and virtual meetings.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with your direct supervisor.
- Foster a warm and respectful atmosphere for all patrons.
- Complete assigned shifts efficiently while adhering to all company policies and ethical standards.
- Represent the AMS and its mission statement at all times.
What you'll need#
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Understanding of personal and professional boundaries.
- A valid police check is required upon hiring.

- Location: Kingston, Ontario.
- Work modality: On-site.
- This is a paid position for first-year students.
- Working conditions involve physical activity, including walking and standing, and shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays.
