About the role#
Stantec is seeking an Intern Architect to join our Buildings Practice in Edmonton. This role offers the opportunity to participate in all stages of architectural design, from initial conceptual sketches and massing models to site visits during construction. You will work directly with Registered Architects and receive mentorship to support your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Support project teams in the development of architectural design documentation.
- Use BIM technologies to create three-dimensional models of buildings and their components.
- Prepare and revise documentation across various architectural phases, including site plans, floor plans, building elevations, building sections, and details.
- Implement sustainable design principles into building designs and their surrounding environments.
- Assist with site analysis, research of concepts, benchmarks, typology, and precedents.
What you'll need#
- A Masters degree in Architecture (M.Arch).
- Current registration as an Intern Architect with the Alberta Association of Architects, or eligibility to register.
- A minimum of 2 years of post-graduate experience in the architecture industry.
- A basic understanding of all phases of architectural document production and the relationship between drawings and specifications.
- The ability to produce presentation renderings, diagrams, and massing models.
