About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support infrastructure projects, including water and wastewater piping, pump stations, treatment facilities, and stormwater systems. You will work within a team environment on design and analysis tasks, such as hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, stream restoration, and regional water planning.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project administration, including writing reports, drafting proposals, and tracking project costs.
- Support technical staff by researching, compiling, and evaluating project data.
- Gain exposure to design programs, including CAD and GIS.
- Perform construction observations and assist with field work as needed.
- Utilize engineering modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and InfoWorks ICM.
- Adhere to health and safety procedures during both office and field activities.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize assignments, and take direction.
- Coursework or exposure to infrastructure planning, design, construction, or environmental engineering.
