About the role#
This is a paid internship based in Lexington, Kentucky, for the Fall 2026 term. You will work within a team environment on a variety of local and national water projects. This role requires on-site attendance.
What you'll do#
- Assist with project administration, including writing reports, tracking project costs, and drafting correspondence.
- Support technical staff by researching data, performing design calculations, and compiling project information.
- Conduct construction observations and assist with geotechnical field work or lab tasks.
- Complete other engineering or administrative duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering.
- Coursework or exposure to fluid mechanics, geotechnical engineering, and construction management.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, plus legible handwriting.
- A focus on safety in all work environments.
